Rejection:
Rejection was a durational performance shown at INCUBATEChicago in September 2008. Over the course of a day, I read from my collection of personal rejection letters, over 400. These include rejections from exhibitions, university programs, jobs, lovers, simple notes of hostility, and financial documents. I also solicited rejection letters via the internet from all corners of the globe, allowing contributors to interpret the concept of "rejection" freely. I received about 75-100 additional letters in a variety of languages. The following video is a work-in-progress document of the performance.
